London, September 27, 2016 – OnApp has announced that Asia-Pacific cloud giant, NxtGen, has chosen the OnApp cloud platform and OnApp Federation to extend its Infinite DatacenterTM hybrid cloud service, which provides enterprises with a wide range of private and public cloud hosting options from a network of datacenters across India and Singapore.
NxtGen Infinite Datacenter is a full-scale hybrid cloud platform that federates clouds and on-premise infrastructure, shares metadata, and supports a single design environment for multiple personas and consolidated operations management. NxtGen is using OnApp to deliver more cost-effective, self-service public and private cloud services as part of this next-generation cloud environment. OnApp also provides ‘single pane of glass’ provisioning and management across NxtGen’s distributed cloud infrastructure, and the wide range of clouds available in the OnApp Federation – OnApp’s global network of clouds.
AS Rajgopal, CEO, NxtGen, said: “NxtGen’s Enterprise Cloud Services are designed to provide unbeatable price/performance for enterprise workloads, in a fully integrated, multi-vendor and carrier-neutral hybrid cloud environment. Using the OnApp cloud platform and the OnApp Federation enables us to amplify the value of this proposition for our customers, and extend our services globally to help enterprises build the digital businesses that will drive their growth tomorrow. Using OnApp also helps us ensure that our global customers have access to the Infinite Datacenter platform, wherever they are in the world.”
OnApp CEO, Ditlev Bredahl, said: “NxtGen is a perfect example of the next wave of cloud service providers: multi-platform, multi-location, hybrid service providers who offer a very wide range of capabilities through a unified interface. Cloud providers are diversifying to compete with the megahosts of the world – they’re selling a wider range of products to a market they know in detail. With NxtGen’s federated cloud, running on OnApp, and with their expertise in delivering and supporting products for their enterprise customers, we’re looking forward to helping them grow for years to come.”
The OnApp cloud platform is a complete infrastructure management and go-to-market solution for cloud providers, telcos, datacenter operators, hosting companies and other service providers. It brings the complete range of Infrastructure-as-a-Service products together in one integrated environment, from public and private cloud on Xen, KVM, VMware and EC2, to CDN, web acceleration, distributed storage and disaster recovery.
The OnApp Federation extends these capabilities on-demand access to cloud infrastructure in more than 55 locations worldwide. NxtGen will contribute capacity to the OnApp Federation from nine of its own datacenters in India, and its cloud infrastructure hosted in Singapore. This will give other enterprises access to high performance cloud infrastructure in those regions through their local service providers. NxtGen will also use OnApp to create ‘private federations’ across its own datacenters – giving its customers one control panel and one login for consuming distributed cloud infrastructure.
NxtGen enables its customers to build digital businesses without investing and managing complex IT infrastructure, by leveraging hyper-converged infrastructure. NxtGen, headquartered in Singapore, is an emerging leader providing fully managed cloud and datacenter services across India and Singapore. In its unique approach, NxtGen deploys and offers IT infrastructure services from on-premise resources and NxtGen’s own facilities – Infinite DatacenterTM – enabling its customers to adopt a hybrid computing model. OnApp software enables hosts, telcos and other service providers to sell the complete range of Infrastructure-as-a-Service products, from bare-bones virtual servers to fully-automated cloud, dedicated servers, CDN, storage, DR, SaaS, PaaS and more. The OnApp platform also gives service providers on-demand access to the OnApp Federation, a global network of cloud providers connected to a wholesale marketplace, where they can buy and sell compute and CDN capacity on demand.
OnApp launched in July 2010. Today more than 3,500 service providers in 93 countries run on OnApp software. OnApp has 165 staff across the EU, U.S. and Asia-Pacific and is headquartered in London, UK. For more information, visit http://onapp.com.
