Out now: OnApp Cloud v3.0 beta!

It's here! After more than 12 months of development, several broken developers and many sleepless nights, we're incredibly excited to announce that OnApp Cloud v3.0 has reached public beta.
Bigger. Better. Easier to use.
Version 3 is a major new release of our cloud software, the biggest since the first launch of OnApp Cloud way back in July 2010.
It's bigger. It's better. It's even more stable and easier to use. In total we had more than 1,000 individual development tasks, and we've added dozens of new features and hundreds of improvements.
It's the best version of OnApp Cloud yet, and you can try it right now by joining our beta program.
What's new in v3.0?
What do you add to the cloud platform that has (almost) everything? Well, the v3.0 beta includes plenty of goodies that will help you take your cloud services to a different level, in terms of automation, ease of use and completeness.
For example...

We added support for a little virtualization technology called VMware. Now you can manage cloud services based on VMware ESXi/vSphere 5.0, as well as services based on Xen and KVM hypervisors, in the same integrated environment.

Or how about Cloud Boot, a new way to provision hypervisors. Wheel in a rack, hook it up to your network, and OnApp Cloud automatically discovers and installs your HVs, saving a huge amount of time.

As if that weren't enough, we have integrated OnApp Storage, our distributed SAN, so you can build high-performance storage for your cloud using local disks in hypervisor servers.
- Oh, and we completely redesigned the UI at the same time :]
And that's just for the beta. There's plenty more coming when OnApp Cloud v3.0 reaches general availability towards the end of this year, including CDN video streaming and http push support.
I have to say, I am just so proud of our dev team, our QA and product guys. It has been an amazing effort to take everything we imagined for version 3.0, and combine that with so many features and improvements our customers have asked for, and bring it together for this new release. As anyone in development knows, that moment when it comes together is a pure and beautiful thing, and - especially because of the effort I know our team has put in - I hope they are as proud as I am.
