OnApp includes remote installation, free configuration, free advice on hardware and integrations, and free support… but when you need to take your cloud to the next level, or get your own engineers up to speed, our services team can give you the edge.

Installation

OnApp includes a free basic installation as standard, but we also offer a range of Jumpstart services to help with your deployment and post-install configuration, and provide extensive assistance via your own Technical Account Manager.

Basic Install

The basic installation package includes:

  • Basic install of the OnApp Control Panel and integration with the hypervisor of your choice:
    • 30-minute kick-off call (to answer any questions regarding prerequisites, etc)
    • You provide us with credentials of your Control Panel and any additional servers (KVM, XEN, vCD, vCenter, etc)
    • Our engineers complete the install for you, remotely
  • Post Install:
    • Our engineers will configure a single billing plan for you, to help you get started, plus full billing plan documentation so you can create your own
    • For further assistance, you have access to the OnApp documentation portal, the OnApp Knowledgebase and our 24/7 support team

    • Any additional services that are required (e.g. customizations, training) should be requested via your account manager, and will be quoted by our professional services team.

Jumpstart Package

The Jumpstart package includes:

  • Install of your OnApp Control Panel and integration with the hypervisor(s) of your choice:
    • 1-hour kick-off call (to answer any questions regarding prerequisites or any concerns you may have prior to the install)
    • 2-hour GoToMeeting session to complete the installation with you, including answering any questions or queries you have during the call
    • If required, we will assist in adding one additional compute resource to your cloud (e.g. a second KVM or vCD zone)
  • Post Install:
    • We’ll schedule a 2-hour GoToMeeting session with you to discuss and create up to 5 separate Billing Plans, as per your requirements. Note, this will require information from you in advance with regard to how you bill your end users,  any ‘packages’ you offer, etc. If time permits this session can also include training on billing plans, so you understand how to create your own.
    • We’ll conduct follow-up calls as required to answer any architectural questions you may have during the deployment of your OnApp environment
    • For further assistance, you have access to the OnApp documentation portal, the OnApp Knowledgebase and our 24/7 support team

Technical Account Manager

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) package includes:

  • Install of OnApp Control Panel and integration with the hypervisor(s) of your choice
    • 1-hour kick-off call (to answer any questions regarding prerequisites or any concerns you may have prior to the install)
    • 2-hour GoToMeeting session to complete the installation with you, including answering any questions or queries you have during the call
    • Follow-up calls as required for adding additional compute resources to your OnApp Control Pane (e.g. additional KVM or vCD zones)
    • A dedicated resource within OnApp to handle your installation
  • Post Install:
    • We’ll schedule a 2-hour GoToMeeting session with you to discuss and create Billing Plans, as per your requirements. Note, this will require information from you in advance with regard to how you bill your end users,  any ‘packages’ you offer, etc. This session can also include training on billing plans, so you understand how to create your own.
    • Follow-up calls as required to answer any architectural questions you may have during the deployment of your OnApp environment
    • Access to a dedicated Technical Account Manager as per the TAM service description
    • For further assistance, you have access to the OnApp documentation portal, the OnApp Knowledgebase and our 24/7 support team

Note, some services may be included with the TAM service – so these would be included in the Technical Account Manager package

Technical Account Manager

An OnApp Technical Account Manager (TAM) is your advocate within OnApp, bringing together deep technical knowledge and an understanding of your unique business needs. TAMs are senior technical product experts who work collaboratively with your organization to drive performance and growth. OnApp Certification

Certify your technical staff to get the most from your OnApp software. The OnApp Certified Administrator (OCA) course is an intensive three-day, classroom-based training course that combines lectures with hands-on lab work, and a three hour examination on the morning of day four.

We also offer certification training for OnApp Storage and OnApp for vCloud Director.

Health Check

A comprehensive review of your entire OnApp setup, including software and hardware. We’ll identify any potential issues with your environment and recommend improvements to ensure your deployment is fully optimized, and running as smoothly as possible.

  • Health check is based on scripts and tests run remotely by our specialists
  • You get a detailed report of the results against each check we make
  • We’ll review the results with you to discuss any changes we recommend

Scheduled Upgrade

Free upgrades are included with the full version of OnApp, but we can’t always guarantee exactly when your upgrade will take place. With our Scheduled Upgrade service, however, we’ll upgrade your OnApp install at the time you specify.

  • Fully managed by OnApp specialists, at a time/date that suits your business
  • Remote upgrade is included as standard, with on-site options available
  • We’ll validate and sign-off your upgrade
