OnApp Enterprise solutions focus on high-performance, AI-enabled Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, private cloud and hybrid cloud management for SMBs and enterprises
London, 7 September 2017: OnApp, the leading cloud management platform provider in the public cloud market, has announced OnApp Enterprise – a new range of solutions designed to transform price, performance and usability in the enterprise private cloud/hybrid cloud market. The first OnApp Enterprise solution combines OnApp’s comprehensive cloud management software stack with Intel® Data Center Blocks hardware to create a turnkey HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure) appliance with the industry’s most complete set of private and hybrid cloud management capabilities built in.
Designed for enterprise IT departments and small and medium-sized businesses, OnApp Enterprise includes a full suite of private cloud deployment and orchestration tools; user management, access control and governance tools; metering, monitoring and showback/chargeback capabilities; connectivity to multiple public cloud providers; a truly scalable software-defined architecture with up to 254 servers per cluster and fully asymmetric storage and compute; and a single UI for private and public cloud management across multiple clusters, datacenters and clouds.
Delivered as a ready-to-run HCI appliance, OnApp Enterprise is based on Intel® Data Center Blocks, including Intel® Xeon Processors, Intel® SSDs, Intel® Server Boards and other components in a configuration optimized for OnApp’s software capabilities. OnApp Enterprise is available at as little as a third of the cost of competing products, providing a cost-effective, easy to deploy solution.
“OnApp has become the leading cloud management platform for public cloud service providers by providing a truly turnkey solution that dramatically reduces cost, complexity and time-to-cloud,” said Ditlev Bredahl, CEO of OnApp. “OnApp Enterprise aims to disrupt the private cloud market in the same way. Our first solution, which we’re taking to market with Intel, offers more affordable, easier-to-manage and easier-to-scale private and hybrid cloud management for SMBs and enterprises. In the future, we’ll be introducing hardware-accelerated cloud and NFV, AI-enabled hybrid cloud management and more – to make OnApp the standard for enterprise cloud, too.”
“There’s huge potential for a more affordable, more functional approach to HCI and multi-cloud management in the enterprise market,” said Al Diaz, VP and general manager, Product Collaboration and Systems Division, Intel Data Center Group. “As a result of the collaboration between Intel, OnApp and our partners, companies of all sizes now have an easier, more powerful and more cost-effective way to deploy and manage their own flexible, software-defined infrastructure and bring the public cloud experience to the enterprise datacenter.”
OnApp Enterprise cloud appliances are available now from Intel® Technology Providers, including Iron Systems in the US, New Era Informatique Pvt Ltd in India, MultiTech in Argentina and Uruguay, Colsof in Colombia, Rectron in South Africa, and Hammer in Europe.
