The OnApp Sales Engineering team, and how they can help you

Whether you’re a new OnApp customer, or you’ve been with us for a while, there is no doubt you’ll have had some interaction with our Sales Engineering team.

Our Sales Engineers now have responsibilities in three main areas: Pre-sales, Architecture and Technical Account Management. Working closely with the OnApp Sales, Account Management, Support and Product teams, they cover both EU and US time zones, and can be contacted directly or escalated from the standard support teams. Some of the items that the SE team can help with are:

  • Installing your Production, Staging and Test environments
  • Hardware burn-in testing & validation
  • Performance benchmarking
  • Hardware review and recommendations
  • If you or your customers needed a demo or explanation of OnApp software
  • Consulting or RFP assistance when proposing OnApp solutions to your clients
  • Providing your dedicated OnApp Technical Account Manager service

James is one of the resident experts for our vCenter and vCloud Director integrations, having worked with VMware products in other roles. James is one of the leading technical account managers providing assistance to our biggest customers out of our London HQ. James has previously held roles at large enterprises such as HPE and BAE.

Umaar Saddique
Umaar Saddique

 

Umaar is the leading systems engineer within OnApp, being the main point of contact for the majority of the presales work. Umaar recently led the vCenter beta program that has recently gone GA in 6.0, where he interfaced with our beta customers and the product/developer team to ensure that everything worked perfectly. Umaar has previously held jobs at Virgin Media, Nokia and Motorola, so is a resident Telco expert as well.

Zack Morgan
Zack Morgan

 

This is Zack’s second stint at OnApp, after leaving to become a developer and cloud systems integrator for a few years. Zack has been back for two years now, and has become the expert on interfacing with the OnApp API and third party integrations. Zack has lots of experience working for MSPs and Hosters, including some of our own customers, so rest assured you’re in good hands.

 

Neal Hansen
Neal Hansen

 

Neal, based out of Colorado, USA, has worked at OnApp since 2014. Previously working within our support organization, Neal joined the SE team last year to assist with his great product knowledge of KVM, XEN and CDN platforms, and provide us greater coverage in North American time zones.
